Supporting you through life
Thriving together
When you thrive, we thrive. Our THRIVE resources and sessions aim to create an environment where people feel confident talking about matters such as mental health and wellness and reaching out for support if needed.
Health, mental health and well-being
At Smiths, you and your immediate families will have access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) which offers practical support on health, well-being and financial matters. Supporting you through different stages of life is a top priority at Smiths.
Maternity Buddy programme
One of the biggest life changes is becoming a parent. Our Maternity Buddy programme offers peer-to-peer support navigating pregnancy at work, or after returning from maternity or adoption leave.

In many (and a growing number) of our locations, we have a strong Parental Leave Policy which gives colleagues who are primary caregivers a minimum of 16 weeks of paid leave when a child is born or adopted.
Flexible work
At Smiths, we understand that sometimes in life you need a more flexible approach to work, but still have a great deal to contribute.
We’re happy to accept applications for those seeking part-time jobs.

We also recognise that, even if you’ve had a career break, you still have a lot of value to bring to our company. We’re always happy to hear from those returning to work after a break.
