Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Applications Engineer Filtration to join our team in Arnhem, Netherlands.The Applications Engineer Filtration will lead the development and maintenance of Engineering tools to enhance the precision and efficiency of filtration solution designs. This role aims to drive innovation by leveraging the latest trends in CAD Automation and AI tools to improve Engineering performance and to meet business needs. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing automation solutions to enhance our CAD processes, improving efficiency and accuracy in our engineering design workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a CAD champion for CAD & PLM environment, i.e., Solid Edge and Teamcenter.
- Establish and enforce CAD rules and drafting guidelines to maintain the standardization of drawings, ensuring consistency and quality in all CAD outputs.
- Create and manage Solid Edge ETO Automation or similar software-driven filtration design tools to automate product design, parametric modelling, and standardize component selection.
- Initiate and drive product and component standardization as the foundation for automated product selection and design tools.
- Develop and extend sales tools (F-Select or similar) for filter selections.
- Provide intelligent tools to create a technical scope definition between Customer – Geo-Market – Engineering, such as a web-based datasheet tool.
- Optimize usage and maintenance of available internal digital tools and software, i.e., CAD, PLM, ERP, and project management tools, by utilizing the full breadth of available software features.
- Codify and automate existing activities, reduce duplication of work (SAP/ iProjects), and optimize data integrity and handover between business functions.
- Collaborate with the Global Digital Solutions team to design and develop tools in alignment with business needs.
- Support product development projects for integration into existing processes and initiating additional tools.
- Support in component library CAD maintenance and end-of-life management on component level.
- Support in CAD software and engineering process-related issues, provide guidance and assistance, and educate new joiners.
- Provide tool introduction sessions, refresher training, and create user manuals/instructions.
- Support the development of the Centre of Excellence team and assist in improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience:
- At least a 3 years tenure in an engineering or software programming role
- Experience with 3D CAD tool & PLM environment, preferably Solid Edge, Teamcenter etc.
- Experience with Engineer To Order processes
- Experience with programming and databases (VB, SQL etc.)
Technical Skills:
- Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new techniques and technologies.
- Capable to communicate technical and non-technical information effectively.
- Demonstrated contribution in team orientated environment.
- Knowledge of pressure vessel design and process engineering is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office and an ERP package, preferably SAP.
- Well updated with the latest trends in CAD Automation & AI tools.
- Understanding of modular design and parametric modeling principles.
