Job Description
HR Generalist based in Morton Grove for John Crane, providing HR support to employees across manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, procurement, and other operational functions in Cook and McHenry Counties, Illinois.
- Site lead on all HR matters including management training, new hire programs, benefits and other company events, recruiting activities, campus activity team and newsletter representative.
- Develop, prepare and maintain reporting and maintaining compliance with all applicable Federal and State regulations.
- Function as a liaison to management regarding employee concerns, issues, suggestions and recommendations.
- Handle employee requests for information regarding the interpretation of company and employee relations policies, practices and procedures.
- Investigate, analyze and prepare preliminary findings to be utilized in formulating appropriate responses to EEO complaints, unemployment hearings, employee discipline, employee career counseling and employee appeals.
- The successful candidate enjoys participating in, and foster engagement, and retention through a variety of learning, development and affinity programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in human resources, business, public administration, or related field is required.
- Experience in employee relations is desired, preferably in a manufacturing/ corporate environment.
- Must possess a high level of knowledge of applicable human resources and payroll laws and regulations in the United States, Illinois, Cook and McHenry Counties.
- Must be able to research information, analyze data and present the same comprehensively.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, both orally and in writing.
