Job Description
About the Role
Internally this role is called Programme Analyst, working for our Commercial Finance team, externally, most likely called Senior Finance Analyst.
You’ll play a crucial role by providing essential financial metrics and analysis for key business programmes across EMEA and APAC. You’ll collaborate closely with Programme Controllers, Global Programme Directors, and the Programme Excellence teams, ensuring financial clarity and enhancing programme profitability.
This can be based at either London HQ, Blackfriars Bridge or our COE site, Hemel Hempstead.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis on key programmes to drive informed decision-making.
- Guide programme teams to achieve targeted outcomes, addressing cost and profit issues effectively.
- Complete and present monthly programme reports on inventory, unbilled services, deferred costs, and more.
- Support programme controllers with programme inventory, margin baselines, and target profitability analysis.
- Conduct portfolio-level profitability analysis, identifying and communicating key trends.
- Drive Total Gross Margin (TGM) improvement efforts across markets to boost profitability.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Programme Excellence and programme managers, to support financial objectives.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of SAP and Power BI.
Analytical Abilities: Proven ability to analyse financial data and present insights to support decision-making.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to deliver clear insights and the “big picture.”
Process Improvement: Ability to identify opportunities for process enhancement and drive continuous improvement.
